The Magic Behind Reality

Gorgeous shot. Love the dark contrasts.
Thank you for the comment IP!
I edited this image right after coming back from Philippe Valery’s photo exhibition. You might already know him, but just in case, he’s a photographer who travelled across the silk road from Europe to Japan. He shoots excellent images in black & white using his Leica and I was impressed by his use of “black” in his composition. So I decided to try to give it a little more contrast using more black in the image.
So thanks again for commenting on that! I’m very glad you did and I appreciate it.
I haven’t heard of Valery; I will try to find him. Thank you, and look forward to seeing more of your work.
For some reason, I can’t seem to find his work online, or even his Wikipedia page. Maybe he’s not a well known photographer yet, but I’m sure he will be!
Btw, I love your Iceland series! I should really plan a visit there sometimes.
I too tried a Google search, and only came up with an interview he did. I’ll keep my eyes open for him, though. As far as Iceland, it is a photographer’s playground. I highly recommend a visit; I’m sure you’d come back with incredible pictures.
